KERRI-Anne Kennerley is proud of her renewed party queen status after a scene-stealing spectacle in Dubai.
Kennerley, who is television royalty, was accused of behaving like a commoner at a Qantas gala dinner in the Middle East.
According to reports, Kennerley snatched the microphone from MC Eddie McGuire, shoved him out of the way, and burst into song.
Kennerley told Confidential: "It's a party trick I've done for 100 years. It's not exactly the first time. I think I've done it twice at the Logies with Mike Willesee.
"Luckily, everyone who went to those Logies is dead."
Kennerley said the microphone marauding followed a high energy disco show by I Will Survive hitmaker Gloria Gaynor.
She said: "I was dancing with my husband and Hugh Sheridan. We were having the best time.
"The show finished, the band left, and Eddie said: 'That's the end of the evening, ladies and gentleman.'
"Then he looked at me and winked: 'Wouldn't you love to sing?'
"That's all it took," Kerri-Anne laughed. "I ran to the stage and took the microphone!"
Kennerley added: "I've always partied. I don't know why everyone was so surprised.
"It doesn't bother me that everybody knows I enjoy a good party. Why would that bother me? People will interpret it the way they want.
She grinned: "I don't get untidy. I keep a high standard."
Kennerley will soon report for an upcoming episode of Seven current affairs show, Sunday Night.
