PETER Berner says he may have been fired from Celebrity Apprentice at the hand of a pack of Tim Tams, but the experience hasn't ruined his relationship with the chocolate biscuit he adores.

Berner became the second celebrity - and the first bloke - to be booted from the show after failing a challenge which required the teams to create a colourful and engaging promotional stand to promote the bikkie's new share packs.

"Look, I can promote chocolate biscuits," he told news.com.au, "that's like selling snow in the desert, it should have been a no-brainer," he told news.com.au, "what could possibly go wrong you ask yourself in hindsight?"

Electing himself to be the team leader was a harder job for Berner than he thought, who says he holds no grudges against the chocolate biscuits that led to his demise.

"I sat and lived on nothing else but Tim Tams since," he said. "Tim Tams and I had a great relationship going in to that challenge and I didn't want that challenge to end our relationship, I didn't want to lie there on my death bed at 80 thinking I never ate another Tim Tam, foolish me."

He attributes his downfall on the show to not asking the right questions of the client.

"That's from spending so much time as a stand-up comic, not listening to people of authority or respecting the opinions of my betters, that's what has gotten me to where I am today."

The former Einstein Factor host said he enjoyed the experience of being on the show, despite the difficulties of working with big personalities such as Jeff Fenech, John Steffensen, Brian Mannix and Rob Mills.

"Very few organisations run well with six alpha males taking direction," he said.

"It's a little bit like trying to run the underage football team, their heart is in it but they get easily distracted."

Berner said he wouldn't be watching his final moments on the show.

"No, I'll be curled up with my Tim Tam crying into my cup. I don't want to relive the pain."

He says he has his money is on "one of the blondes" to take out the challenge, naming Roxy Jacenko, Prue MacSween and Dermott Brereton as the celebrities to watch.

Khloe Kardashian fired from X Factor

KHLOE Kardashian has been axed as co-host by the struggling US version of The X-Factor.

Following in the footsteps of departed judge Britney Spears, Kardashian has not been asked to return to Simon Cowell’s struggling reality TV singing competition, the New York Post reports.

Kardashian, who had no previous hosting experience, often appeared unprepared and nervous on camera, struggling to develop a rapport with super-smooth co-host Mario Lopez and deliver her lines on cue.

Kardashian’s ability to draw fans of Keeping Up With the Kardashians wasn’t enough to overcome her inexperience, said LA hosting coach Marki Costello, who has worked with the US The Voice’s CeeLo Green told the Post.

"It was really hard for me to watch Mario with her,” she said. “It made me, as a viewer, almost uncomfortable.”

“I am sure there was a big percentage of Khloe’s fans who followed her to the X Factor. But at the end of the day, when she doesn’t know what she is doing, are you helping your show or hurting it?”

Lopez has been asked to return, the Post reports, and British pop star and UK X-Factor judge Cheryl Cole may return to the judge's table. Cole is suing the show for $US2.3 million ($2.2 million) after she was dumped just weeks into the US version, and her return could be part of a deal to settle the lawsuit.

“The producers have not yet made the talent decisions for this year,” a X Factor spokesperson said.
